I am a 50 y/o female firefighter. I have had as many as 5 dogs at once. I currently have 3 dogs and one cat. We lost a 12 y/o male this past May to Cancer.. Our oldest just turned 14 in Nov. She had a tumor on the outside of her left rear leg that we had removed.2 years ago. We did not send the tumor out to see if it was cancerous. It returned and was inoperable due to being connected to and woven in the muscle..Slowly over the last year it grew and grew. We decided against radiation and waited to see if it would stop or cause problems. The skin was very tight due to the size of the tumor and she started chewing on it. Blood work was perfect and no mets on the chest x-ray. We had the leg amputated Dec. 11th.
