I am an interior designer by trade and a life long animal lover. My biggest weakness is my love of dogs, all dogs, all sizes and breeds. Love them all! The main love of my life (other than my husband), Nola, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in March 2013 and we are preparing for amputation surgery of her right front leg. I am seeking as much information and encouragement as possible from this group because this is a very scary journey for us. Nola is an eleven year old Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Hound (just Catahoula will do). If you aren't familiar with Catahoulas, you can sum them up with, brilliantly smart + silly + stubborn + tough + sweet + self centered = Catahoulas. I've never known a dog like them. Most dogs want to please you...Catahoulas want YOU to please THEM and somehow you just LOVE doing it. They are hilarious. Well, I plan to spend the rest of Nola's life pleasing her in every way possible and don't plan to give up on my girl any time soon.
