My name is Sarah Oakland and about two months ago my husband and I met 6 mos old Turbo at an Out of the Pits adoption clinic. He was fresh out of surgery and not yet up for adoption, but my husband and I fell in love with him immediately. We put our application that day.
Turbo was a victim of a car accident, and left for 2 weeks without medical attention, severely malnourished and had two broken legs. One being a compound fracture. He lost his left hind leg due to the severity of his unattended injury. Turbo has now been with us a full month, goes to PT regularly and continue to learn how to adapt to this new life.
