Daian: We believe you may have accidentally hit the report button instead of quote or reply, since we just received this comment as a questionable post report  …

I have to say that if people are told to avoid cancer by NOT EATING processed foods, then why are dogs fed the most highly processed foods and if the meat meal is not fit for human consumption why do we give it to our pets?

Great point Daian! The short answer to that is: we have been brainwashed by the pet food industry. We discussed "What's Really in Your Pet's Food and Why You Need to Know" a while back.

Many pawrents were, and are, unaware of the nasty meat industry leftovers that go into commercial pet food. The industry does a great job of making it look "natural" and healthy. Truth is, supermarket-grade kibble is anything but healthy. While there have been some great new developments in truly healthy pet food, like Innova's Evo line (which I used to eat), the industry still has a LONG way to go.

The more pawrents who read up on commercial pet food ingredients and spread the word about how bad this stuff is, the more we can take back our pet's health and give them the kinds of diets they truly deserve.
