Hi Aj,

Im sorry your are dealing with Vaccine Sarcoma. Seems to be a lot of those showing up here. 

Kerren will surely have some great input her cat Mona had the same and amputated. She will have invaluable information for you!

I agree something needs to change this is crazy, we now give cats vaccines in back legs for that reason , so we can amputate if this occurs.

I no longer vaccinate our two indoor cats. 

Our Purrkins has a soft tissue sarcoma on his front wrist he is 6. We did amputate and it was likely to be curative .

We have no experience with chemo but from the little I have read here ,its not the same for animals as it is for humans! You might want to do some further research if you chose not to amputate or choose to and choose chemo.

There have been a lot of new members dealing with the same and have amputated . Whatever you decide we support you, we aren't pro amputation! We are pro save the animal and give the best quality of life possible for whatever time we are blessed with.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
