Hello everybody,

First I apologize for my English, I am Brazilian and not specifically a good English speaker!
I would like to say that tripawd's website and the reports here were encouraging me and my Border Collie named Shaula, who completed 5 weeks of amputated today!
The story of Shaula is long, but I'll try to summarize it:
2 years ago I noticed some small lumps in the right hind leg. Shortly after the biopsy confirmed: Hemangiosarcoma. After done the surgery to remove the nodules, the prognosis of veterinaria could not be worse: 5-7 months (nasty cancer). We try to forget what we hear and follow a normal life, going to the beach, bathing in the sea and playing racquetball with Shaula. Against the stats, she lived very well for two long years!
Two months ago she was licking the same paw... previous examinations found the recurrence of cancer, however all other organs were undamaged. Again marked up the surgery to remove the new nodules, but when the vet made ​​the incision ... called us saying that the cancer was completely scattered and would have to amputation of the entire foot.The post-surgical were terror days. Some moments we thought we had made ​​the wrong choice and that she would never be the same.

Reading and watching stories, articles and videos I was delighted... and really think that I'll never forget the energy and strength of Shaula during these difficult times!
The prognosis is still not good, but she does not know it and smiles to life again as if it never existed the fourth paw!!
