We went to the park yesterday, which is a 5 min walk away. She was feeling frisky and loped about a bit, but the pain came crashing in (she'd had her morning dose of Tramadol 2 or 3 hours earlier). I ended up having to carry her home. Still feeling it today as she weighs just over half of my body weight! Poor girl had her face squinched shut and just collapsed in bed when we came home. We will be going to the vet for the final time tonight.
So sorry to hear the sad news. Sending hugs your way. Godspeed sweet Lily. xoxoxo
I'm so very sorry, that must have really been heartbreaking. If today is indeed the day, please know you are in our thoughts and we are here for you. It's a rough spot to be in, and there's no easy way around it. Whatever you decide, it's clear that you and Lily have a lot of love between you, and that is something that will last for all time.

You two are our family now and we grieve with you? Her life matters to us. Goodness knows she played full out! Even though her walk to the park didn't end well, I know sne thoroughly loved the "first" part of her walk and wouldn't have traded that vit of fun for anything! I kow you're still recovering from carrying ner,but ner neart is still ssmiling at ner own friskh self!
Your bond is infinite and will never be broken. As bittersweet as these few weeks have been, they are also chock full of more love and spoiling a dog could ever imafine!
She is withyou right now. You are together right ow. Stay in the moment. Continue to surround each other in love and joh and the celebration of a life well lived and well loved.
We are with you by your side. You are ot alone. We have been touched deeply by you two. When a dog lives a life that inspires others, well, that's a dog who is living a life of purpose...and that type of legacy is eternal.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
We squeezed out one more day, but last night Lily was laid to rest next to my partner's mastiff, Hamster.
Thank you all for your sympathy. Your words have provided more support and comfort than I would have thought possible.
Awwww. You guys I'm so very, very sorry. My heart aches for you, this is just never easy. Please know we are always here if you want to share more about her life.

05/04/2006 - Bosch, Sassy's pal, earned his wings 03/29/19 fought cancer for 4 months.
"You aren't doing it TO her, you are doing it FOR her. Give her a chance at life."
And that extra day mattered to Lily and to you. You know, five minutes of having a "frisky" walk esterday, felt like hours in dog years. Having a full day with you uesterday is like being with you for weeks in dog hears. Yeah, squeezingout one more day mattered.
You gave her the ultimate gift of love when she needed it the most.
Ya, know, even through all this, Lily is bringing a smile to my face. Lily, your mom signs in as "hippo" and lays you to rest next to a huge Mastiff named "Hamster"! With that kind of humor, I bet you had a ball with your human family! I'm sure you are wagging your tail non-stop as you think about all the fun tmes you shared.
We cry with ou and our heart breaks to. But we also know Lily is always with you, just as you are always with her. Just as you felt privileged to have her in your lives, she felt the same privilege to have you in hers.
As Jerry said, p.ease come back when you can nd share more of who Lily is , and you can even through in some stories avout Hamster!
