She was acting stubborn while mom. Was trying to get the sling around her to get her up to go for a pee but once she's up and outside she does her thing then sits and waits for mom to. Pick up. Tonight mom was in the bedroom for a minute to get something and Doug stepped outside for a smoke and Nova scared mom she came up stairs herself and she did good all on her own but since prior to the surgery they've been super careful of no stairs yet but Nova had other ideas. I'm on Nova duty for a few hours tomorrow.

Had to chuckle at Nova surprising your Mom by going up the stairs all on her own. That kind of determination and strong will helps her power through recovery. She's definitely one of a kind who likes to do things her way!

Lol Nova is one determined girl! She is at that point where she wants to show you she can do things on her own again but you and your mom know better so good job!

She's definitely coming back to herself taking things off mom growling cause she feels their hers lol mom and Doug let her sleep in bed with them last night she climbed the stairs really well yesterday all by herself and then mom thought well you deserve this so she guided her as she climbed the bed stairs. Now she's sitting in front of me thinking this paper towel is hers lol

Nova Update: she had her doc appt today she had bloodwork done and got her first injection of chemo and stitches removed. She was running up the stairs according to mom. She does chemo every three weeks and there's only 4 rounds. And she has an appt in FL they leave this week mom's more excited for Nova then Nova is lol

WHEEEE! What a huge step she has taken. That's pretty cool that she is on her way now.
We'll keep our paws crossed that she doesn't have any issues with chemo. Hopefully she gets to enjoy some beachtime while she's down south!

I have to figure it out I did a blog about her I have to see how I can add to it. She whined when they left the house yesterday morning cause I wasn't going with them. She is now is sunny Daytona gonna enjoy a much needed holiday she doesn't need rehab she's teaching herself. The vet feels good that she's strong on her own to learn and she's doing just that. She came down the stairs with help still unsure of how to do that. She gets stiff a bit if she lays too long we all do it's getting old yesterday I went to kiss her before she left and she was laying on the couch and she let out a small yelp but then got up no problem and I tried helping her but I think she thinks I was more in the way lol and that brown thing she's laying g on is a blanket not a carpet
