Just love reading  updates like this on sweet Nova..  Not just becaise of her progress and her happy wagging tail, etc, but because of the exquisite  care she is receiving.  She has everyone wrapped around her paw, as it should be for such an adorable dog!.  She is soooo loved by all...including those of us who "know" her through cyberland.

And great job of recognizing and celebrating  every "improvement"👏

Feb 16 6 days post op today my mom said I was coming over she got up when she sensed I was close and.took 6 steps to the window and looked for me then came walking over as best as she could to greet me then slipped on the floor did a little bark cause she startled herself and just kinda laid there pro essing what happened then she got up with mom's help and went back on the blankets but she was fine we reassured her she's gonna have yeahs and booboos. So just now as I type this she got up unassisted and hopped over to drink water then she hopped kind of backwards to back on the blankets to lay down. I'm soooo incredibly proud of her.

And we're so proud of Nova too!  And your Mom and you and all her friends are excellent caregivers 👏👏

Her progress is exactly  spot on this early on.  She's doing so incredibly well.

I'm sure you already have non slip scatter rugs on hardwoods and vinyls for traction .  Even then, face plants can happen on ocassion.   She clearly  kept her confidence  and proceeded onward and upward 👍

Isn't it amazing how they get up and move on? Those little spills hurt us more than they hurt them at first. As long as you've got good traction down as Sally mentioned, you are doing all you can to keep her from strained muscles and injuries. She will get the hang of knowing where to walk and where not to. She's a smart girl!

Thanks for the update!

Yea she was standing by the window came hobbling over I was petting her and she took a step and down she went on her side she let out a small bark and just laid there like what just happened kind of look as she. Just starred at us so mom got the sling to help guide her back up but yea those things are gonna happen. She's starting to get up on her own now which is great and her voice is back

Getting up on her own is a really good sign that her body is stronger.

When they fall it always startles us more! But if you follow her lead and don't make a big deal out of it, she will be more confident, that goes such a long way!

Nova Update: the doc Called he said he removed all the cancer the mass on her bum was not aggressive but the lump on her arm was. He said he got it all and Nova's appt is Feb 27 and she has to stay the night to check her heart for her new chemo meds.

Oh my mom wants to pass on to other pet parents that they should get their pet nails done prior to surgery day it makes a huge difference and ice chips are a good way to hydrate dogs.

SPECTACULAR  news about the lump just being a lump!!!👏👏  Definitely  some to celebrate!

Curious about the chemo, staying overnight,  checking out her heart, etc.  What is the chemo?  Does she have preex heart condition?

And thanks to your Mom for the ice cube tips and trimming the nails before surgery.  We always learn so much from each member.and always appreciate  the feedvack.

So both spots were cancer just the one on her bum wasn't the aggressive kind but her arm was sadly.

She doesn't have any heart issues at all but I guess cause she's gonna be 10 they wanna make sure she can take the meds and I'm guessing the chemo is to make sure they got everything. Plus they are dropping her pain meds they wanna make sure their doing everything right

That's really good news about the second spot not being cancer. WHEW!!! And now the other spot is gone for good so YAY!!

Please thank your mom for those great tips! Yep, short nails are a really good thing, especially for a new Tripawd.

NOVA UPDATE: She's doing really well. She's healing well. She hopped/ran per say to greet me at the door this morning. I handed her a few small chunks of apple and cucumber and a few Blueberries that she spit of and rolled around with her nose even tho she's had them a million times before. She back to grooming herself. They were concerned with her possibly pulling a stitch out but the vet checked the pictures their always in. Contact with him he says it's OK her stitches come out Feb 27 not 24th like mom and I thought And today she's pulling the stubborn card for most of her routine things like getting up to go pee lol

She goes Feb 28th I made a mistake on the dates she goes for the afternoon of tests and bloodwork and stitch removal mom was like oh she won't like that I was like um you think she walked in a full dog and walked out a 3 quarters of a dog and a chunk of of her bum lol but all that coincides with her Florida vet check while their away. Doc feels it will do her some good to enjoy the sun and warm weather and her fur is growing in nicely and yesterday I was peeking through my door looking down the stairs watching her and Doug and he was trying to get her to stand as I've been the only one she's done that with and she must have seen me cause she stood up he was thrilled lol but he greatly babies her I don't I don't give in I make her come get things but 10/10 she just stares at me like nah not gonna happen lol Friday I'm on Nova duty for a few hours. Oh and she's getting really good at eatting whatever we put her pills in and spits out her pills lol

Thanks for theNova news and adorable photo!

Sometimes what we think is stubbornness is pain signals so keep an eye on her activity level.

And what a great job you are doing. A little tough love goes a very long way!
