Escher is back home! The surgery has been scheduled for over a week. During that time I have called twice, just to check in and see what I need to do ect.
Apparently, the surgeon and the oncologist are speaking two different languages, or not at all. Dropped her off a 7am, just for them to chase their tails all morning and then send Escher home. Eyeyiyi!!!
Tomorrow. We do it all again tomorrow.
Are you serious???!!! You have been on the verge of becoming an alcoholic all morning and me considering it with you... 😉 (just kidding!;)
Oh crap! Im sorry that signals have gotten so badly mixed up!!!! Okay, so we shall be with you again tomorrow, sitting beside our water bottles and our fancy glasses....

Have an olive and piece of cheese or something, anything to celebrate the fact that Escher is home, safe and sound with you! Apparently tomorrow is a better day to deal with Escher! There is a good reason for everything my dear! Maybe a shot of vodka wouldn’t hurt after all! 😝

Okay, to repeat what we said this morning before her "surgery"......update when you can.......we now know you will skip the chocolate and go straight to the Vodka...deservedly so!

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

Prepping for surgery now.

I am a mess as to be expected. Thanks for asking. She is probably on the table as we speak. Waiting for the "everything went well" call. What a nightmare this has all been.
The call will come... this is a tough time, we all know it! Trust me, I was beside my self, just like you are... that is one thing I remember well! The next couple of weeks, although tough, will go by in a blur! Just stay in touch with us all and we will help where we can! Even if it’s an emoji 🍸!
