Hello. I'm not sure where to post this, so let me know if this is the wrong place. My 14.5 year old doberman, Snickers, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma last week. Due to her age, her hind end weakness, and her bad knees, she's not a candidate for amputation. I wish she was, as our lab was tripawd from 6 weeks before we adopted her at age 1.5 until she died this summer at the age of 13. So, I know how well dogs adapt to having 3 legs.
So, can anyone direct me to blogs, forums, or websites for dogs with OS that used alternative medicine to help slow the cancer?
I'm using a holistic vet, but would like to hear about others who have been on this journey before us.
Thank you.

Jerry's Required Reading List is a great place to start for plenty of helpful links. Or, consider downloading Tripawds e-books for hundreds of direct links to helpful forum topics, blog posts and videos.
Search all forums above or search all blogs here for "holistic" and other keywords relating to the alternative medicine you are researching. The Tripawds Nutrition blog has plenty of homeopathic posts, and Eisen is a an incredible success story who only had homeopathic treatment and survived OSA for five years.
Best wishes, please keep us posted.

Hi snickers,
My guy was not a candidate for amp. He lived 5 mos post diagnosis. We had to say goodbye because he fractured though. Feel free to check out my blog for our story and how we managed his pain and cancer. We chose chemo and biphosphinates, though I've heard of artemisinin
and other holistic methods helping slow cancer too. Best of luck to you. I so sorry about your baby.
