Hi Friends,
Americas is my almost 9 year old Springer Spaniel/Lad Tripod ( 3 years) and just this week had surgery to take another fibrosarcoma tumor from her neck area almost down to her amputation site. She is recovering well, a bit sad, which is so not like her. Today we go back to the vet's to check her drain ports, staples and stitches and talk about her taking Carboplatin. Does anyone have any similar situations of this? I know it is common for Osteosarcoma. What was it like for your pup, the costs, the side effects, etc. And do you feel that having surgery + chemo is the way to go.
Thanks so much for any input.
Thanks for posting about Americas, it's good to hear from you. Hopefully other members who've had experience with carboplatin for fibrosarcoma will be able to provide better feedback than we can.
Searching for both carboplatin and fibrosarcoma, however, we did find this topic:
Presentation and Diagnosis
Wilson's fibrosarcoma pathology report…long
