Hey folks, sorry I haven't posted in a bit. We've been really busy with our boy but so far, so good. Post limb sparing surgery he was up and pulling like nothing happened other than a slight limp. We were told to keep him from jumping and running but that was no easy task. Especially after the first week when the limp went away. We let him run around a bit but not crazy. But other than that he looks pretty normal. The first round of carboplatin went fine with absolutely no side effects. He ate his barf with no problems. Stools on barf are about 40% of what it was on normal food. My wife is doing a great job of preparation buying fresh meat every couple of days. Mostly local organic meat that's pretty easy to get here in Austria. I can't believe I wasted this great barf opportunity until now. His white blood cell count is still very good. Right now, other than salmon oil, ground eggshells, turmeric, ginger, garlic and a few other things, he is on an adult ESSIAC dosage. No unwanted effects from it either. No puking and stools still look fine. He is still the same old Dino. Thank god. Here are the latest pics.

Oh my dog you can't even tell he had surgery, wow! Would you happen to have any x-rays of the limb post-op? I'd love to see them.
That is SO COOL he's doing so great! I'm curious, how does the oncologist feel about him being on a raw diet during chemo? It's difficult to find any here that support it with or without chemo.
Dino is a ROCK STAR! Just kicking butt all the way, we are so hoppy for you all.
P.S. Sent you an email a few weeks ago about your generous gift to the community but never heard back, email me here and send us your mailing address, looks like Dino could use a Magic "Tripawds Rule" Cape! He's an honorary Tripawd hero you know!

No way!!! Dino is rockin' it!!! Congrats!!!!!
Jackson, too, is on an Essiac tea. Who knows what works, but some totally swear by it - and if their poos and diets don't mind, game on!
Congrats! Congrats! Congrats! He's a stunner, that one. Dino, our hero!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Hopefully Jackson is doing good as well. Dino is on ESSIAC tablets. They are easier to give. I stuff them in a raspberry since he has always been nuts about fruits. Let's see how it goes. So yeah, barf every day, chicken necks or cow intestines for snacks, like this. Dino thinks he's in dog heaven
Mmmmm. That sounds tasty! Jackson loves berries, too.
