Just Got back from picking him up , they people at Abbey Glen are just so nice and sensitive to what we were going thru . Some how I feel almost a sense of calm now that hes home but isn't . Almost like an inner peace , although nothing will ever be the same.

And yes he was smart , probably too smart for his own good . He always tried stopping me from leaving when I had to go on road trips for work . Every time he saw the suitcase he ran to the door and blocked it . It broke my heart everytime I left but seeing him act when I came home was worth it all . Bouncing up/down barking like a nut then the hugs and knocking me down to give kisses and wait for his head and belly rubs .

The only thing that won't miss him is the vacuum !!n As he was a long haired rottie , and shed alot ... lol

I love all the wonderful ideas .The blog would be a first for me as well as " The Book of Samson". I think I will start working on them soon, and I am touched to know that what I share also helps others ..I will try to add some pictures of him, I do have some but he was always very camera shy and made it very difficult to get any at all.

Sorry I've been away from the forum my computer crash ( hard drive failure ) and of course it did it before I could back everything up so I think I lost some pictures and documents as well as alot of the sites I researched on dog bone cancer. I managed to restart it but again lost data , Thank god I have a new one on the way as I don't trust this one anymore. I also just spent 2.5 days straight combing thru Ring video data to try to find even a small video of Samson playing soccer , but unfortunately Ring only saves 60 days of data and I think the times we were playing soccer the camera turned off as it was constant motion and lasted more then the 30 second time allotment ...

I hope everyone had either a great or ok Turkey day .. I know mine was really rough , my mother boxer Hailey Jade crossed over on 23rd , mom had no choice but to help her cross over . The 1st vet miss diagnosed her and gave her the wrong meds ( multiple meds) for over a month . Some vets just treat the symptoms and not the cause . She took Hailey Jade to my vet and told her she had blood disease and was in kidney failure , and he could do a blood transfusion to but her a week at most .. My vet did a full blood work up along with other tests to find this out . 

So 2 awesome dogs in just a matter of days , so not a happy turkey for us.

But I guess I will have to figure out how to post pics of Samson and start a blog for him..
