Welcome! Tell us more about Sophia. There are many "small" breeds, and some may consider "medium" sized dogs small.
Consider visiting a few dog parks or pet events to find discover the types of other dogs she might get along with best, but don't necessarily get stuck on breed. We have met a few Great Danes who who are friendly with Pugs.

Awww....would love to hear more about your sweet Sophie.
The Admin Guy gave some great advice. And yeah, we have an Angel Great Dane named Eurydice who loved all dogs, but was unbelievably gentle with small dogs.
Maybe an older dog from a shelter?
Keep us updated.
