Hi everyone. I found my girl German shepherd Chloe 2 years ago abandoned in a milk crate. She was only about 12 weeks old and had a broken front leg. We fell in love at first sight and took her to the vet where eventually amputation was the best option. She's been so strong and active but yesterday she was not getting up from bed and was limping so bad. We went to the vet and she was diagnosed with Arthritis and hip Dysplasia. I think I saw this coming down the road but much later in her life. She's still a baby to me and I feel horrible she's going through this. I just want to know if there's anyone who has gone through this so early in their dogs life and what you have done to help them feel better. She's on tramadol and rimydal and a vitamin supplement. Haven't looked at any other options yet. Thanks!

Best wishes for Chloe! Please consider consulting with a certified rehab vet tech (CCRP or CCRT) for a professional opinion. They can work wonders, and provide direction for an at-home exercise regimen. Or, download Loving Life On Three Legs in the Tripawds e-books library for lots of tips about helpful stretches, PROM (Passive Range Of Motion) exercises, massage, hydrotherapy, supplements and more.
