So glad to hear he's doing better...and you too!! Getting the pain meds balanced can really be tricky. Each dog is so different when it comes to managing their pain. You jave done an excellent job of figuring out what works better for Hooch. APPLAUSE!
Perhaps you could have someone he knows come by and check on Hooch and take him out for a potty break? I had no one arpund who could check on my Happy Hannah and I was a complete mess when I had to go back to work. She wasn't exactly having an "easy" recovery. She did just fine though. You may actually find that Hooch will enjoy seeing things get back to "normal" with you going back to work.
For now, keep feeding him anything he'll eat...steak, chicken, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, etc.
Keep these great updates coming!
Hugs!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
OMD! Wanna smooch that mug! His avatar picture is so cute!!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
I'm so glad to hear that the pain med dosages have been figured out!
As for leaving him, Hooch is going to be like "Oh thank DOG I can be home alone and not have to worry about her all day long!" Just kiddin. Really, all he'll do is sleep anyways. Try not to worry.
OH and if you don't mind, please start a new topic in "Treatment and Recovery" so everyone there can see he's making progress!
