I've posted about this in Ruby's blog, but just thought I'd mention it here as well. Ruby, who is now about two months post amp, has a habit of resting her rear leg on the sofa/couch, while standing with her front legs on the floor. I assume the stretch feels good to her. Would be interested to know if other rear-leggers do this.

Oh my dog she is adorable!

Our Wyatt Ray used to do this. I have to assume it feels good to get weight off the back end!

My rear amp dog does the opposite - she rests her chest and fore limbs on the couch or ottoman and leaves her rear paw on the floor. I think it might have a similar effect, though. Whatever she's resting on is a little taller than her natural stance, so her rear thigh gets a bit of a stretch.

8I couldn't  remember whether my Happy Hannah did that or not.   It makes sense though  that it feels good to Ruby to do that stretch.

Four legger Merry  Myrtle does that when she's getting off the bed sometimes.

As smart as Ruby.  is (-check out her blog), she's probably  already developing her own exercise program.

Elly is too small to do the couch stretch but she does it across my lap sometimes.

Part of her rehab routine is supposed to include stretching but she is usually not willing to let me manipulate her back leg... or her front legs for that matter.
