Good for you for doing the PROM exercises Mica.

I'm wondering if it's just a matter of trying to go too far too soon? I know that it seems like 5 weeks is a long time but some dogs just need longer to get back into the swing of things. All I can think of is that the first two weeks a dog is high as a kite from the meds, and really doesn't feel the aches and pains of being a new Tripawd until much later when s/he tries to do too much throughout the day. By the time a walk rolls around it's just too tiring. Is this happening during all walks or just evening ones, maybe after activity has already occurred throughout the day.

Sally that's an interesting thought. We know of some dogs who flat out refuse to wear a harness (Greyhounds especially) but usually the indicators that they are having issues with it happen as soon as the person has a harness in hand and the dog sees it. Typically a dog won't even let the person put the harness on him/her if that's an issue. But it's a good theory, ya never know.
