It's suppose to rain pretty hard at the beginning of the week. How do I keep his stitches dry while he is outside? I have been thinking about cutting a kids rain poncho. What do you guys think?

It should be OK if they get a little wet, just pat dry, don't rub. More important is to keep the incision clean. Put an old t-shirt on fron leggers, or use boxer shorts with the tail through the fly for rear tripawds. Or, you can always consider a doggie rain coat...

You can also use "Press n Seal"  if it's just to go outside and take it off when you get in the house.

Apparently they use Glad cling wrap on their dogs in Las Vegas. Should do the trick though! With the Press and Seal brand you wouldn't have to wrap your dog so tight. big-blink

Ok, that sounds a lot better than trying to cut down a rain poncho. I will have to go get some press and seal. I did not realize it rained in las Vegas

Hahahaha!  It rains – like 2 times a year!

I actually used it on knee surgeries for Comet.   There was dew on the grass in the mornings when she went potty.  The vet said put a plastic sack over her leg and I tried that once and thought that was stupid!  So, I thought up Press n Seal.   My neighbor had knee surgery and did the same thing on her knee so she could take a shower.

Press n Seal is sticky on one side and thicker than regular saran wrap.
"With Griptex gripping technology. Only activated when pressure is applied, Press n Seal wrap seals to plastic, paper, metal, wood, and many other surfaces. Seals
and reseals tightly."
