Hello all!
First, let me by saying this site is amazing. My Laci was diagnosed in September of 2018 and I could not have gotten through everything with her without all of the advice and support from everyone on here.
With Laci, we chose to amputate immediately and then joined a clinical trial at NCSU Vet school. In March of 2020, we received the news that her cancer had spread. While I hate to share that she lost her battle in July of 2020, I don’t want anyone upset. I am so incredibly grateful for her to have been a part of my life. She taught me so much!
I want to share with you all what made her last few years here so great. We got her a prosthetic! I was skeptical at first, but seeing her run full speed with her sister again was the best thing I’ve ever seen.
Derrick with Bionic Pets in Virginia was a blessing sent from above. He cares more than anyone to get your pet happy and thriving. While it was never our intention, we just so happen to need a prosthetic re-make at the same time Derrick was filming his TV show! If you haven’t seen it, it’s on BYU and all the episodes from season 1 are online. The show is called Wizard of Paws.

Aww thank you for sharing Ellen! We will have to check out the show, I've been meaning to watch it and now I have a great reason to do it! Do you know which episode she is in?
I'm so sorry she got her wings, but it is heartening to know that you were able to see so many pawsitives in her life on three, and share her legacy so that it may continue inspiring others. Please keep in touch, you're always a part of our community.

Laci really did best the odds! We love being able to celebrate victories of the dogs who blow statistics out of the water!!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
