Hi All,
Here is the latest update on Max. The vet said his incision opened a little, they had to clean it out good and put antibiotic ointment and bandage it. He is known to be Houdini when it comes to getting around his cone and donut!
He did get up on his own today which they said was good. I asked if PT could introduce him to a ramp before he comes home and they said yes. So hopefully he will use the ramps we have built around the house for him.

YAAAAAA. MAX!!! GOOD BOY FOR GETTING UP ON YOIR OWN!!! HUGE VICTORY!!!
However, quite a naughty little boy for getting out of your cone AND a donut!! Max really is a Houdini to get to his incision all while being at a 24/7 staffed clinic. Glad they were able to get things handle quickly and back on track.
So thrilled Max stood up on his on. Keep on keeping on sweet boy. We're cheering for you👏

Love the moving dog! Thank you for all your support. HIs surgeon will be in tomorrow morning to access his incision and see if it needs a staple or not. She will call me in the morning. Hopefully he keeps doing well and he learns a ramp so next week on Tuesday evening he can come home. We miss him terribly, but I know this is the best thing we can do for him.
I will keep you posted!

first, seeing sweet Max's face just makes my heart go pitter patter! What a gorgeous boy with such beautiful, loving eyes!
second, wow those are some amazing accommodations. GREAT JOB! 
I agree, they look so sturdy and the slope is so gradual that he should have no problem getting used to them. Did an engineer design them?
