Hello!  my Johnnie is a front-amp 90 lb Golden, and I have used the Ruffwear Webmaster Harness since he was cleared to do short walks, roughly 3 weeks after surgery.  Johnnie was never an obedient walker.  He always pulled a lot, and it's not different now, except for his rhythm as a tripawd hopper.

We don't really "walk" - he alternates jogging/running with resting periods, and sometimes can run really fast.   It's more a "parcour" than a walk, under trees, around bushes, etc.  The preference are grass sidewalks and dirt paths, because they have less impact than paved roads, and I have to duck under tree branches, jump over tree roots and other obstacles to keep up with him.  He is the one that sets the pace.  One walk that takes me 15 minutes with our 4-paw takes at least twice as much time with Johnnie.  Being mom to a tripawd is not an easy ride, but he absolutely loves his walks.   The only one activity that he loves even more is swimming with dad in the pool.

Sally - absolutely true!  My nightmare is when other dogs are on our way, because he is not very friendly, and I have to make him sit and hold him tight.  I've had a couple of embarrassing moments here in the neighborhood ....

I love the Easy Walk and recommend it to ANYONE who has trouble with dogs who pull! We swear by them at the humane society! We use them on all of our pullers, including pitties with naked arm pits. I've never seen a chafed arm pit.

Funny enough, I don't use an Easy Walk on my own dog who had terrible leash manners until I found the goddess of animal behavior. Dr Sophia Yin (may she rest in peace) has a lot of info on loose leash walking. I tried everything out there to get my dog to walk properly on leash, and was about to try an Easy Walk, when I stumbled upon Dr Yin. Her methods worked wonders to get my dog to walk beautifully on leash right next to me!

There's the start of it. There's more. The part that really helped me was when she pointed out that everybody always pulls the leash upward when they want their dog to stop/stop pulling. That means nothing to the dog. Gently pull the leash in the direction you want the dog to go. If you want your dog to slow down or stop, gently pull the leash directly backwards. If you want your dog closer to you, gently pull the leash directly towards you.
