I wanted to ask if someone here has tried to use infrared treatment for dogs ( heating lamp/massage)? My Valkyrja had a little lower back pain so I decited to test this at home and I can see that this is doing a lot for hersmiley so i wanted to see if someone else has tried this ?

Hi Anna,

Great question! That's something I just can't find here when I search for "infrared" but heat and massage is a good thing so if she's enjoying it, then fantastic!  Some dogs like heat, some do not, sounds like you found a winner for her. It will be especially helpful as she ages.

I hurt my back this morning and have a heating pad on it right now and it definitely feels better.

How about writing a short guest blog post about how it works for her? We'd love to hear more and share your knowledge with everyone in a post. PM me for details.

I haven't tried it on my dogs but I had a PA at my work (in a hospital) that swore by it. One day, I was complaining about a headache and she did it on my head....I didn't feel any relief. That's not to say it can't/doesn't work- it just did not work for me.

Since you are having good results though, I'd keep on doing it until your vet tells you otherwise.
