After lots of trial and error with sizing of his Help ‘Em Up harness (medium chest piece, small hip lift) we think we finally have Duke outfitted nicely. We still have a little trouble with the hip lift side of his amputation, which tends to move out of place. Has anyone here used the so-called anti-rotation strap by Help ‘Em Up? We have one and hoping it works.
So I guess this update means Duke finally worked out his "pooping position" and no longer needs a snow bank for assistance? 😉That silly boy😊
I never had any luck getting the Help em up harness on my front legger after he had cruciate surgery on one of hos remaining rear legs. Dont know of it would be easier with two people or not. Just couldn't co figure the thing. So kudos to you for figuring it out!
Hopefully someone can come along amd answer your question.
Just wanted to say hello and good to hear from you and your sweet boy.
Hugs

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
OMG, you remember the frustration I had with Duke last winter! So attentive and sweet of you. It was so not fun. I’m still having knee problems. Duke is doing well and only occasionally gets pretty head strong about not going #2 but he’s gotten better. Unfortunately we lost his sweet brother Connor so Duke is a little sad but improving.
I tried the anti-rotation device tonight and it might work, just need to get the fit just right.
Oh my dog doesn't that winter feel like a million years ago? I'm so glad he's doing well, but so sorry about your knee problems and Connor. My condolences for your loss. I hope you at least had some warning with him? Not that it's any easier afterward but having time to wrap your head around it seems like it might lessen the blow just a bit?
So I had heard that the anti-rotation device had come out, and I'm also curious to see if anyone has tried it. Thanks for starting this topic. If it would be possible to see how it works for Duke, with photos/videos, that would be great. I'm glad you think you found a solution and now maybe Duke will feel more comfortable when pottying all the time.
Thanks for checking in!
