How does your dog actually get up from the floor?  Seems like it would be a tricky balancing act.  Watching the videos so far I haven't seen any that actual show the "getting up" part - that is, between laying down and on your feet.  Seems like that part is cut out?  Is this where the harness comes in?  That you need to help them to their feet all the time?  Another worry is Bella pulls herself up with her front legs - one of which will be gone.

Again, overthinking this - keeping mind off tomorrow's surgery!

My local pal Cemil is a 150 pound Anatolian Shepard, front amp. He sort of rises straight up from laying down, uses his three legs at once, if that makes any sense.
He is also more than three years out from is amp surgery for OSA.

Thank you so much for the welcome - even though this is a party no one really wants to join!  It's nice to hear about big dogs doing well.  Bella is 135 and needs to lose weight to carry her body on one limb.  But I don't think little dogs have any easier time ...

Great question! I think if you watch the Tripawds videos you'll see dogs getting up and down. I just kinda scooted up with my one paw, I really didn't think twice about it. Doing this maneuver on slippery floors is difficult though, which is why we recommend putting down traction /runners throughout the house and also having a harness handy. The handle came in handy when I was tired and needed extra help being lifted up.

At 2:13 you'll see me scooting up in this video:
