Freeze baby on 3 wobbly legs

I've just adopted Stella, a small Boston terrier who lost her back leg and broke a front leg in June. She is such a freeze baby, I always have her in sweaters and jackets. That isn't helping when she goes out to go potty in the cold Ohio rain and soon snow- she shivers and wobbles so much she keeps falling over. She won't go on the pee pads I've offered her as an alternative inside. Any advice?

Welcome, your future forum posts will not require moderation.

Stella will not go potty when wearing a sweater? You may just need one that doesn't interfere with her going. Or, maybe we're mistaken about exactly what you mean...

My little pug Maggie was also a rear amp- but she didn't have to deal with real cold.

Have you tried booties? Maybe if her feet were protected/warm she would do better outside.
