Just dropping by to check on Frankie, and am THRILLED to see how well he is doing. Absolutely fantastic! To be honest, I find it pretty amazing how he manages to balance with that great strong tail wagging side to side, like the boom of a yacht in a force nine gale... Such a happy boy, and it's not hard to see why. Love Team Frankie, and bless Merry Myrtle with her new baby.

Sending lots of love and hugs,

Thanks everybody soooo much!!!   I'm gonna be posting some more videos just to continue to chronicle Frankie's Rehab.  I do NOT want you to feel.like you need to reply each time!  Really!   You'd spend all day replying because I'll be posting so many .ore...ESPECIALLY when he gets his water therapy Tuesday! 🙂

Some of these are just videos that tickle me pink.   I love having a place ro put them....plus I can free up my memory on my computer by putting them here! 🙂

In this first ine Frankie, after going to the door to greet and howl to the Rehab Vet, he immediately goes and gets on his bed for his massage.  She always starts with that.  Here he's telling her and telling the assistant, "get on with it"!

Thanks everybody soooo much!  It IS wonderful to see him happy!

He looks so good Sally! He is just so sweet. I wanna smooch Myrtle though and sit out on the porch with her! That face of hers just melts me.

I love seeing Frankie's progress, he really has come a long way! I love his ears, omg he could almost fly with them! So glad he enjoys the therapy, makes it all a lot easier.

Keep the pictures and videos coming, I look forward to them winker

Jackie

I think you need to rename that video called 'Frankie Walking' to 'Hauling Frankie's Butt Off the Floor' big-grin

He really is making progress- putting weight on that repaired leg.

Keep it up Frankie and Sally!

Just u der seven weeks after surgery and just had his first water treadmill.  Poor guy, he really did not like ot at all!!   Those hou d eyes were begging me ro make it stop!

He gets sooooo tired soooo easily!  Alrhlugh he is sooooo much better and is DEFINITELY putting some pressure on "that" leg, the other two legs are doing the bulk of the work

So by the rime he had the 50 minute drive, then pulling me across the parking lot and I to the reception area, doing his non-stop greeting howling to announce he was there, doing some counter surfing on the very tall reception desk...yeah, he was tired!  Add what seemed like the lo gest path in the world to get to the treadmill....yeah, he was exhausted!  So he happily walked up the ramp to the tank, immediately plopped down and stretched out expecting a massage...he got wet instead! 🙂

Gotta give this CoolChill Hound Dawg credit.  He kept trying ro turn around in the tank and go WITH the treadmill j stead of AGAINST it! 🙂

I sent the videos to his Rehabe Vet and she was concerned at how much he held his leg out.  Anyway, she's coming Thursday for him and we'll discuss next plan of action with remaining "budget".

Any feedback from those who have used treadmill appreciated.   Did your dogs take to it right away?  Good results right zway?  I realize Frankie might need more time to adjust, but I also feel like this first experience may be a good indicator that it would take a lot more visits  for results, and that's not an option.   Maybe I was expecting too much from the first visit??

Yeah Karen, his "swim coach" was hauling his butt off the bottom and zway from the wall  in this one a lot too!

Although the TOTAL tradmill time she was shooting for was five minutes, the most he could do at a time, and thst was with rest, was arpund 50 seconds.

This video does show he got several good steps in....I think anyway.

One more "funny.  He was hauling a** when it came time to leave.  She said to try znd make him go slow....then she held the leash and felt the pull and said, "never mind!"   That's my FRANKIE-Do-It-his-way- cool-chill-dawg!! 🙂

He looks really good Sally! I'm sure being so new it must have been a little overwhelming for him. That last one his leg looked like he turned it out a little but he may have been tired or still trying to get his ocean legs, you know?

He's a funny guy, goes from seeing to a hundred when he gets something in his head, huh?!? Big hugs to all of you, he has come a long way in a brief period of time, I really think he will continue to get better in the next few months. You can do the range of motion with him and massage. Maybe getting something like a hot water bottle to use after massage when it's just him and you will help keep things loose and I'm sure he won't fight you on that one.

Sending bunches of hugs and love your way 💖

Jackie

Sally,

I think he is looking good.  I know my girls with 4 legs wouldn't get into the water.  Look what Frankie did.  🙂   Awesome job Frankie.  For a Tripawd he is doing good.  Have a friend who has a 4 legged Rottie who had the other procedure for cruciate and she still is having problems putting a lot of weight on it.

Keep up the good work

I have zero input other then I would have to video Frankies steps and not his sweet face. He sure knows how to give the look doesn’t he sadOMC

I understand the hope you had for this first visit! Look how far he has come with or without this visit! He has come a Long way! I DO understand & can see how tough this all is and how bad you want him back on 3 full time. He will get there!!

That sure was exhausting for him. He did get some really good steps in on the last video!
I also see a white heart 😍on Frankies head I did not notice before.

Keep up the good work you are getting somewhereclapclap!!

Lots of love
❤️
