Hello to all,

We are moving internationally, and I wonder if anyone has experience flying their large tripod (front leg) dog in cargo. If you do, how did your dog handle it? What crate and company did you use? How was the overall experience?

I’ll appreciate any info.

Hi Maria. Your post has been approved and hopefully you responses to your specific questions regarding transport

While I don't  have any personal exper, oddly enoigh I just saw a segment on Cessr Millan where a dog has to be crated in cargo for  upcoming air travel. On top of normal worries, the dog was extremely reactive to loud noises, being  separated from his owner, etc.  The strategy followed was to first get the dog ised ton the crate ised for cargo, then slowly introduce recording of airplane noises, airport noises, etc.

I kmow this is a very short generalization,  but hopefully  others who have done thos type of travel can give you more spefocs, airline best suited for pet travel, etc.

Hope this is a pleasure trip and you are traveling to am exptice paradise!😎

Hi Hannah et all!

The story about Cesar Millan is very useful! I’m already looking for recordings of airport sounds (I found one in YouTube so far).
Thanks! 😊
