Oh, well, with Maggie in here, why should any of us post our pictures?  She's a star!  I can't get Jackson to put his front feet on a pillow, much less a fitpaw pod under each paw!  Incredible, Maggie!  Nice (hard) work!

Let's see what Jackson and I can come up with.

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Don't know if this counts but Louie my Handsome Great Tripawd is learning to use his wheelchair . Don't snicker, it seems it is harder on him to learn to navigate around in this then hop etc. He actually has to un-learn (I know that really isn't a word) not to hop and instead depend on his rear stregth and mid-section strength.

Snicker? Oh my gosh never, learning how to use a wheelchair is absolutely hard work! What a great pic, thank you.

You might want to check out our this "best of" article in our Gear Blog for some good suggestions on strengthening those core muscles. Hope it helps, keep us posted.

Here's a tidbit for ya...I had to manually place Maggie on those pods!  She is getting so she'll offer her front feet but no way, no how, is she going to be able to put her rear foot on one without my help...that and a good "wait" cue to remind her to hold still! winker

Maggie LOVES her PT work....your Tripawd can too!  Lots and lots of treats involved, so why not?!

Same for me, I only do it because my people put me there! And they bribe me with treats, which always work.

Sasha, in Western NC, 10 months post amputation.  She loves to hike, especially in colder weather, and we take her swimming at an indoor pool a couple of times a month.

Well in this picture I am doing the basic doggie stretch on my own, all of us dogs do it, where I am lifting my chest up off the floor (we usually do this sort of stretch before getting up off the ground) but my mom also has a stretch she does for my front legs, but I am laying on my side for that one and she slowly stretches the front leg forward and then gently pushes it back.

That sounds nice, Hannah!  You got a sweet, tender mom there to help keep you limber and pain-free!

Wow Maggie is amazing!!! Wyat is pretty dang cool too.

Dang, I don't have pictures because I'm always helping Cora and can't operate the camera. But today, Cora walked up and down the porch ramp 3 times and she walked to the end of the driveway.

I've also started doing those leg stretches. It's so silly. She has the puppy lose joints and limberness, so I'm not sure I'm stretching anything. But I figure if she gets used to them now, they will be easy to do later.

I'm sure there's a post about those pods? I haven't seen it and they look interesting.
