Hey Everypawdy.... check out this new product I found out about today....

http://www.dogl.....djustable/

I took Nova's sister Emmy to the vet today to get her elbows looked at. She has these horrible ugly calluses on there that she has been licking alot.

a lot, and occasionally they swell up and get infected. My vet told me about this product, call "DogLeggs". He told me Emmy's elbow calluses are so

bad because of her issues with her back knees and arthritis in her back end... she is putting extra weight on the front elbows trying to push herself up

and down. The price is pretty steep though. But if it means no more licking and nasty blood stains on my carpet, I am thinking it is likely worth it.

I'll bet there are some rear leg Tripawds out there who must have this problem with calluses. I also now realized that the dangling turkey waddle thing on Nova's elbow

is actually a pendulous callous, and can also be treated with the "amputee" version of this product. Perhaps this is already mentioned on here somewhere,

but if not, I wanted everyone to know about it. I am ordering mine this weekend, so will let you all know how well they work.

Because it must have been cut and pasted from somewhere which results in hidden formatting being copied. But we fixed it for you!

Readers can search the forums and blogs to find lots of other posts about DogLeggs! winker

Hey Sue,

I have a set of those I got for Maggie a few years back when she was having some bare skin issues on one of her elbows.  They work great!  Well made products that Dogleggs has.

Tracy, Maggie's Mom

Maggie was amputated for soft tissue sarcoma 10-20-09

Maggie lost her battle with kidney disease on 8-24-13

Thanks Sue!! I will keep those in mind. Valentina sometimes has issues with her front left elbow . I may need that at some point. Hope it works for you. Sounds like that problem can be very bothersome. Good Luck!!  smiley
