Does anyone know if it’s safe to use the Golden paste / tumeric recipe along with a daily dose of Deramax? 25mg.
my dog was amputated in January for cancer. Even with all of the biopsies, they are unable to determine exact cancer. It’s at the microscopic level and very likely spread throughout his whole body. They want to put him on Deramax 25mg for the rest of his life.
i just found out about the golden paste. So I want to try that too. I wasn’t sure if it was okay along side Deramax and wanted to know if anyone else is doing this?
Hey how is Juno doing? Good to hear from you!
In your previous post you mentioned he has a sensitive belly. I would be careful with that combo and double check with a vet who is well versed in integrative medicine.
The turmeric has anti inflammatory properties and that’s what Deramax does really well, reduces inflammation. It seems to me that you would be duplicating efforts.

Thanks Jerry that makes sense. I’m just trying to figure out what we can do to best slow the spread and growth. we just got our news on the cancer which is not good. The doctor is also putting him on a specific proprietary blend of CBD oil made by Veterinary Recommended Solutions— https://vrsheal.....lenddog/
aside from that Juno is doing really well. I’ll post an update on the post op experience in my original thread. But he’s already hoping around really good and took his first run after the neighbor dog yesterday! Completely unexpected and frightening for me but he did just fine!
Yay that he's doing well! I'll look for your other update. Glad he's got some mojo back (well, sounds like a LOT! bet the neighbor's dog isn't too happy!).
Sounds like your vet is pretty forward-thinking, I would talk to them about the different types of natural remedies they recommend. Also consider a copy of the Dog Cancer Survival Guide , it's indispensable when dealing with dog cancer, and has lots of great input about things like turmeric and such. You'll have a lot more to talk to the vet about once you read it!
