I see a holistic vet on thursday. I read the artemisin blog and read that many holistic vets dont know much about this product.. So, I will take an equal role in deciding what Simon gets from the holistic vet. Here are my thoughts based on research from tripawds:
Artemix. It has a longer shelf life than aretemisin ( 12 hrs vs 4 hrs) does it have enough artemisin in the formula?
butyrex- enhances the effect of artemix ?? with a foul order
armor up. Does armor up satisfy all the major mushrooms we need for osteo??
milk thistle - helps the liver. helps with pancreatitis use for 3 weeks.. stop for 1 week,, etc.
alkaline water. easy to do as I use this currently
fish oil ,krill roatate every 2 weeks
Artemix is something I'm not at all familiar with, most people here refer to Artemisinin . Your vet should know something about it so it will be interesting to find out what s/he says about this therapy. It's not the most well-studied or proven treatment available, so it wouldn't surprise me if the vet suggests something else.Keep us posted.

Atremis is a trio of meds. 50mg of artesunate, 40 mg of artemether and 50 mg of artemisinin . I read somewhere on the blog that some people are using this product along with more of the artemisinin .
I met with a holistic vet today,,.who works closely with my onco vet,
Her big thing:
Ketogenics
she said even grain free kibble has carbs that feed cancer,.. She suggested raw, I declined,. she showed me the freeze dried patties etc.. super expensive.. Compromise..: modified ketogenic diet.. she likes Dr. Harveys Pragmatic where I would add meat, oil,,( she likes coconut ). She likes raw goats milk,( 6-8 ozs for dog over 50 #) sardines in water ,, salmon - wild caught only and free range or pasture raised eggs ( says cage-free can be tricky. 1000 chickens packed in an area without a cage can be called cage free.)
After the kibble change,, she likes the medicinal mushrooms... I told her about armor up... I discussed armentisin,.- she didn't know of it.
Is anyone using Dr Harvey's pragmatic with their own meat, oils, etc,,..? is this a costly thing? easy to do? I got a trial size from dr Harvey sending to me soon. any different ideas to choose from? I was originally thinking of using my kibble with HK ( this vet treats the dogs owned by the HK principal. )
If this is easy enough. i'm thinking
pragmatic with my meat and oil
armor up
armetisin and artemis???
milk thistle
she listed. mushroom blends, turkey tail and MRM. Si mao san.. ( four marvels) Hoxey boneset suggested ketopetsanctuary.com.
