It is with heavy heart that we announce Tripawd Meeko has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Her Momma Heather wanted us to share this because she was unable to post in the forums. Here is Heather's tribute to her beautiful girl:
"Meeko is now chasing squirrels in heaven.. She was 13 years old and proved that even senior dogs can be amazing tripawds. She became a Tripward a little over a year ago and proved that 3 legs are just as good as 4. She will be missed everyday."
Heather and family, we're so sorry, and send all our love and condolences to you at this very sad time. May Meeko's spirit surround you with love and good memories for all eternity.

Oh Meeko, you are one adorable girl and were so obviously loved and happy.
Heather and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. No matter how much time they are with us we always want more.
Many hugs
Karen and Spirit Magnum
Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/
What a bright and happy soul Heaven has now. So sorry for your loss. She will be beside you always.
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
Ah! Look at those eyes, ears, and happy mouth! Oh, dear Meeko. You will be missed. You lived it up, girl! Run free and fast!
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
What a beauty Meeko is. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You gave Meeko a wonderful life and you had 13 wonderful years with her. Saying goodbye is so hard but hold the memories close to your heart. Meeko is watching over you and thanking you for all the love you gave her through the years.
“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace.” ― Milan Kundera
The photo of Meeko shows an incredibly bright, happy, joyful dog with just a touch of mischief in those smiling eyes! The epitome of a dog who looked like she knew she knew how to have fun!
It's NEVER enough time but I know you have. Lifetime of loving memories to sustain you.
Peace to you, Sally and Happy Hannah
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
