I'm just so sorry for the loss of Toto.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

Angel Jake's Mom
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!

I need to frequent the blogs more often. I'm so sorry that another one of our heroes has passed. I sometimes get caught up in myself and my own situation, it's these times that I'm reminded of the vast amount of pain and sorrow this awful disease causes. My heart goes out to Toto's family for their loss. RIP sweet Toto.
Thank you all so much for your love and support. It means so much to know that others understand the pain we are going through.

Oh Toto! How sweet your little face is! I remember when I first heard you had hemangiosarcoma, I was really worried for you because I know how serious that dang cancer is...but then you kept on living! You amazed me every day, little guy, and you will always be a survivor.

BTW - The quotes are from the old Disney movie "The Fox and The Hound". Copper is a young bloodhound and Todd is a young fox. They meet as pups, before Copper is "trained" as a hunter. Todd was taken in and is being cared for by the neighbor of the hunter. Arch enemies - and the question - does their friendship over-ride nature/nurture?
