I'm just so sad for you guys. It's awesome that you were able to show Ruby true love and care after she had such a hard life, but I know that doesn't make your loss easier.
If you can open up your heart to another dog in need of a home, that is the most beautiful way to honor her legacy. Another pup will be very grateful to have you for a family.

I am so sorry to see this. It is so sad when something goes wrong for no apparent reason. Please don't regret your choices. We all make the choice we believe is best for our special pet based on the knowledge we have at the point it is presented. We have no way to look into the future and see what is in store. Ruby knew love for the 7 years she was with you and had a happy life. That is the best we can give them.
My thoughts are with you., and I am wishing your sadness will soon be replaced with only the happy memories of Ruby.
