Good to her from you Loz. I kmow you still have a lot of tough days ahead. It will be awhile before it gets easier, but it does eventually. The broken heart mends with thse wonderful memories of HRH Roxie gluing the pieces back together.

First of all, cleaning sucks anyway.! Then tl decide when it feels rifhtot rearrange Roxie's thngs...well, that just makes it an even more dreaded task.
I would nly share thks with you. Shhhhhhhhh.......--..iwhen my Mixkey Motto (who was by my side from birth for over fourteen years) passed away over Memorial Day, he pooped on the porch that mornng befor the vets arrival. Yeah, that's right, K left that poop there for days because it was part of him and I loved every sngle thing aout that voy!. But really, ...shhhhhhhhhhh.......don't tell anyone because I'm sure it would gross most people oit! I'm counting on you to see the "fun" in my dysFUNctin!

I'm sure Smokeyis also missing Roxie but I really think sogs are able to stay connected to the presence of their energy far better than we are. I'm sure during his sleep she comes and sits next to him and touches him must to irriate him! His bubble is probavy saying' "Are you kidding me? You can still do this from a 'spirit' place? Mom will mever believe thks!)

You gave Roxie a wo derful send off when sne needed you there for her at the deepest level of love. When dealing with the "good, not so good" days, there just comes a point, an inner knowng, that it will only be down, further down. You were so connected to her you knew it was tme.

And I'm sooooooo glad she got to have her barkday AND use her ramp! The saying, "dogs leave pawprints on your heart AND your ramp" is so true! I got that right didn't I? That is the exact quote, right?

You and Roxie have given us a lifetime of woderful fn me ories! We loved sjring in ner brkday and seeing that goofy toy drive 'em all nuts! Guess this goes back to the "fun" in dysfuntional that all tripawd parents have! Cannot wait to see the copleted photos! What a treasured memory that will be. You knlw, it just dawned n me, HRH Roxie knew you were worried avout having time to get the photos done......she gave you time. She knew you were worried aout getting the ram done.....she gave you time and jsed the ramp. She knew you were worried about javing her barkday party....---she gave you time and thoroughly enjoyed being the center of attention at her party. Yep! She felt complete.

We all become family here. Another member and I were commuicatng about how, as impossible as it seems, deep friemdships are formed with "strangers" through a computer screen. One of the few unexpected gifts the iverse throws our way to help js on this journey.

Hannah you go girl!!!  That damn mutant lawn mower probably hired the kitty just to annoy H. Hannah.  Just played the video again and the barking scared Smokey.  sigh.  He and HIS kitty are going off to bed now...where it's safe.  Big scary killer GSD...

Photographer called today; portraits are done and he said they're beautiful.  Will get them tomorrow.  And I got a sympathy card from him today; thought that was really nice.  Have to call the vet about her ashes; hope it'll be before the weekend but sometimes takes 2 weeks.  Have a feeling that will all make it more real; have been feeling like it hasn't fully hit yet.  And, yes, Sally, those pawprints are everywhere...heart, ramp, you name it!
