I know, although its been more than five years since beautiful Xandy lost her battle to Cancer, Sarah still feels the pain and her tears are only a memory away. Xandy was a very special Cane Corso. She was a true ambassador to the breed. A real champion in and out of the ring. Xandy was Fortis' teacher and friend as Sarah was mine. I know Fortis wanted more from Xandy but she was firm in saying, grow up first little boy!
Sarah noticed Xandy had a small limp one day as so many of us can recall. It was osteosarcoma of her left rear leg. She fought a brave fight for three months before the cancer took her and is now playing at the rainbow bridge with so many of our loving friends. This wonderful community, Tripawds, would have been served greatly by the presence of Sarah and Xandy. And I know because of my own experiences here that they would have benefited more than words can express.
I often remember the times I spent with my friends Sarah and Xandy, always a smile on my face and a tear resting quietly ready to fall.
RIP Sweet Xandy. You are not forgotten.
My Friends Always,
Brett
I agree - that's a nice sweet post. Too bad the site was available. Guess who would have been here then also? YES, ME!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Xandy, you sure were a gorgeous pup. I'm sorry you got cancer too.
We know your spirit remains strong, helping Fortis to stay strong and healthy. Thank you for bringing him into our lives, he gives so much hope to the giant breed Tripawds of the world.
Run free Xandy, we love you.

My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
