Something I read shortly after the loss of our sweet Maggie a few years ago:

Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near...

And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear

All of my love around you soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone,

I'll greet you with a smile and "Welcome home"

Sincere condolences,

Lisa

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Beth, words cannot convey just how sorry I am to hear of Max's passing.

He was such a handsome boy, so loved by his family. And, we know, he loved you all completely.

Tears run down my face, sobs are escaping, while I write this.

It's just not fair. It never is.

Here's to love and yes, ice cream.

         heartfelt hugs,

           Denise

Thank you all for the kind words and support. I know in my heart that we did the right thing but I miss him so much. Our house feels incomplete. Each day will pass a little easier but he will be in my heart always. I think of his big old nose touching mine, him laying right in front of the cabinets while I tried to cook, him trying to attack the slip & slide water because he thinks it will hurt his kids and I smile and cry all at the same time.

I believe he is happy and healthy up there. I just hope he remembers all of us while he's playing! I can only hope he and Duke (our other Mastiff) are running the place. LOL I always said I could feel Duke watching out for Max, helping him thru it, I think he will continue that....

Thank you again!

I am so, so sorry. I know how painful it is. I'm glad the vet could come to your house. When the end comes so quickly, it catches you off-guard. One day you're thinking, "s/he is doing OK today" and the next, you know something is very wrong.

It will be a month next Monday since I lost Daisy, and I still think of her all the time. I can feel her energetic presence near me, and sometimes I imagine petting her and kissing her. I talk to her. It's not the same as her being here, but it helps a little that I can feel her.

With sympathy,

Lexi

Daisy, 12 years young, had left forelimb amp on 5/19/2010 due to osteosarcoma. She left her body behind and joined the other spirit tripawds on 7/16/2010.
So grateful for each day with her!
Lexi (Daisy's momma)
