It is with a heavy heart that I'm posting this. Holly is now an angel with all of the angel tripawds who went before her - running at the Rainbow Bridge, chasing squirrels. She was my miracle pup - her amputation was Dec 29, 2009 and she made it over 4.5 years. Each day with Holly was truly a gift. We haven't been on tripawds in a long, long time - but all of you are always close to my heart. I hope that Holly's amazing journey helps inspire some of the newer members of this awesome community. Holly earned her wings on July 17, and while each day gets a little easier, it is still so very hard.

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

I didn't know your story but I am so sorry for your loss. What a miracle baby for sure. Holly Jolly had some amazing years and I know she is playing over the bridge w/my Shelby...

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
I'm sorry to read the loss of your Holly. Our sympathies go out to you and your family.
Your loss is great, but I think in sharing your news you also gives many here the hope of long time with their babies.

Ohhh Susan, I'm so sorry to hear this! Holly is and always will be such a joy to read about, she had a hoppy spirit that is just contagious. I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm sure it's tough on the pack to be without her.

Holly Jolly started her Tripawd Journey while Maggie was still around, I remember her well. I'm so happy that Holly beat her prognosis, and beat cancer! Little consolation in the early days of loss, but your girl and her story will provide so much inspiration for those who come after.
Holly will live on in your heart.

I don't know Holly's story, Susan, but I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like she was a true Cancer Warrior Princess...4 years. Wow! Know that she has some amazing company welcoming her at the bridge, and I hope you can take comfort in all the happy memories. Take care, and I look forward to reading more on her blog.

Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
Gerry and I are so sorry, Susan. What a strong girl, she was. Probably had a lot to do with that Holly Jolly attitude.

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

I am so very sorry for your loss of such a special angel in Holly Jolly......I am also very honored to be posting a tribute message to such a brave, courageous, and long-time survivor of this crappy disease. Holly Jolly's story will live on for all to see that a long happy life is still achievable when dealing with the big, ugly "c". I know there is NEVER enough time with our beloved fur babies, but when dealing with the absolute uncertainty of where this journey will take us, it warms my heart so much to see a sweet Tripawd beat this thing for such a long time. I do know, though, in dealing with the passing of our precious pups and kitties, it still hurts so very much.
Hoping each day eases the pain in your heart, and eventually, happy memories are all that remain instead of immense pain.

I'm glad at saw these videos before I posted. When I saw your post the otherday, I just couldn't respond...couldn't. But these videos helped push the tears away and celebrate Jolly Holly's life instead of focusing on herpassing! Beating the odds doesn't make iteasier, , having her with you l o nger than almost everyone here doesn't make it easier...the pain...the void...the emptiness will be with you for way too long. But the joyous andloving life you had togetherwill stay with you longer in time.

Cody is our 7 year old Australian Heeler mix boy. Diagnosed on 2/20/14 and became a tripawd 2/21/14! We chose a homeopathic approach and he is being treated by Dr. Loops our of NC.
