Doggie Heaven got a beautiful and sweet girl today when they got Baby.
Good-bye our big beautiful girl.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

I'm sure Baby is gorgeous with her wings.
Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. I know she was a big presence, in more ways than one, in your home. We'll miss her here as well.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. I also posted to your blog, but wanted to join the others in our community expressing sympathy. Baby seemed like such a beautiful, gentle spirit. I know you will miss her, and I hope our words provide some small comfort. We grieve with you.

Smilin' Sammy, March 16, 2004 – Dec. 5, 2011
Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.

Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.

Ohhhh no! Comet, thank you for letting us know here.
Judy, this is so hard to believe. Baby made such a comeback, and we had hoped she would defy the odds for a long, long time. I'm so, so sorry.
We hope you will take comfort in knowing that she will continue to give hope and inspiration to others, especially big dog families, for a long, long time.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Thanks to all for all the kind words and thoughts. It's so wonderful to be part of a community who 'gets it'.
I'm OK today because I'm still in the 'relieved the pain is gone' happy stage. I expect that in the next few days as I start forgetting that awful, painful morning and start missing all the cuteness and love the sads will creep in. That's OK too. A great love like Baby's is worthy of a fine mourning period.
The one having the toughest time right now is Toby. I took him to the dog park last night and he just wanted to sit by me. He doesn't quite know what to do without her. He'll need a new buddy eventually, when the right spirit finds us.
Again - your warmth and love is a real comfort .... thanks

Oh, my! That's horrible! I'm very sorry. But I know how you feel. Our 15 year old dog died, and we were pretty upset about it. But he's in a better place, and he had a good life. I am sorry for your loss.
