Jeannette! I LOVE this story. Talk about a sign that Boone sent your way. Neat! And would it by any chance be "Bandit" who you met?
Here is his rescue forum post. Unfortunately his photo is gone. But if that's him, I'll tell you, it's even MORE magical that you met him, because our beloved Tripawd friend Calpurnia is the special girl who sent him our way. Calpurnia was the apple of our Jerry's eye, and we are still friends with her humans to this day. They have a team of rescue sled dogs and spend winters in Willow every year.

It certainly could have been Bandit! The TriPawd I met Saturday lost his leg the same way (foot in trap). He was a very happy boy, eager to get hopping on the walk.

Boone and Lexi are both making sure I feel loved this week. Today Tuck and I were joined by several big yellow butterflies on our afternoon walk, and tonight on our way home from a ballgame, we spotted this rainbow over the Matanuska River 🦋🌈
