We lost our big, brave boy today. He was the most gentle, loving, sweet giant, he fought cancer like a true warrior, but in the end old age won. He survived osteosarcoma for 4.5 years and very nearly made it to his 11th birthday. We are heartbroken.

I am so sorry for your loss of Bruce. This is the hardest part of the journey. No one can tell you when its going to stop hurting because grief is so personal. Run free Bruce until you see your family again.

Tracy, my heart goes out to you, I am so very, very sorry. It sounds so sudden, my heart hurts for you.
Bruce is an angel now, but his spirit lives on forever. Cancer will never take that away. He beat that disease and went on to show the world that life on three is just fine for a big dog like him. What a gift to have been able to show people how well he did! I hope that you can find some comfort in knowing that he made a pawsitive impression on so many, and find healing through all the beautiful times you had together. It's not easy, so be good to yourself and if/when you ever want to come back and share more about him, we would love to celebrate your boy's life.

Our dear sweet Bruce . Was so shocked when I read this. ttook me a bit to come back and post. Just was not expecting this and am so very, very sorry
We just finished celebrating all his victories and his birthday.and talked about his Iinspiring journey. And nothing can diminish that joy.
We grieve with you. Yet we do indeed celebrate all the ER al gifts of hope Bruce gave us. He will always be a Beacon of Hope for what's possible, especially for bigger pups. He also blew statistics out of the water and that is exactly why we did what we do here. We need role models like Bruce to show us that no dog is a statistic.
Your Bruce will always be a Being of Light and Hope for everyone here. Thank you for sharing that glorious gentle boy with us. That picture Jerry shaed speaks volumes about what a Happy and content boy Bruce is. I do think he knows how ha dsome and adorable he is
