I just had to start a new post to share these pictures so that all could see…
These are some AMAZING photos I got of Zeke just 4 days before he left for Rainbow Bridge. I have only recently learned about Rainbow Bridge, so at the time, I just thought the double rainbow was pretty. I would find out the significance and irony of these pictures after Zeke passed…..it gives me the chills. I truly believe Zeke was telling me "Mom, I'm ready"…..
Dhiannon (Zeke's Mom) & Zeke, a 7 year old male Bullmastiff, front left leg amputated on 7-12-2010 due to a joint tumor. Zeke earned his wings on 8-13-2010, we will miss our big boy forever! We love you Zeke!!
Oh! Those are so amazing! What a beautiful, beautiful boy! He's got a lot of love and you can see it in every wrinkle of his lovable face!

Thanks everyone!! I do totally feel comforted by looking at these pictures, I find myself looking at them often. We miss him SO much, but I'm relieved he's not in any discomfort or pain anymore, time will heal us.

Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
So beautiful!! It's just amazing that you took these only 4 days before he crossed the rainbow bridge. I imagine your heart is still so heavy but looking at these pictures and seeing how content he seemed must bring you a lot of comfort and peace. I'm so sorry for your loss - and what a huge loss it is.
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
I'm just speechless.
It is incredible.
And, I have to say, Zeke really did have a look on his face like, "I'm gonna go for a walk over there".
Like the others have said, as I write this, yes, tears are flowing too.
I'm so happy that you do have these special pictures to help you.
Your boy is running and playing without pain. You know he is.
Here's to eternal love.
hugs,
Denise

We are holding up pretty well, thank you. I honestly didn't even think I would be able to look at pictures so soon, but I truly do find comfort in them and find myself smiling when I think about the memories. I even have him on my mousepad at work and I was dreading that last Monday morning, but I kept it there and looked down frequently and smiled. I do have my tearful moments, usually when I'm in my car driving or trying to fall asleep, but I think each day gets just a little bit easier. I was just telling my husband that I am so glad I found this website and I will probably be a life-long member.
I just wish Zeke could have been a living member for longer.

Those are amazing! Beautiful rainbows and a beautiful dog. I have found that looking at pictures of our boy has helped me remember good times and has helped me begin to heal. Those pictures of Zeke are so wonderful and, I think, comforting - I hope you continue to find comfort and warmth in the happy memories of your beautiful boy.
Proud mother of Max, an 11-year-old Border Collie mix who was sure he was a Real Boy.
Diagnosis of osteosarcoma of the left rear leg and lymphoma in February 2010.
That annoying leg was removed April 7, 2010 and was never missed.
Max left for the Rainbow Bridge on July 29, 2010 and is now running free. We love you!
Wow, we are speechless, those photos and Zeke are just amazing, thank you so much for sharing them with us.
It is kind of scary not knowing if photos will be a painful reminder or a comfort, but my pawrents did find that photos helped remember the beautiful times we had together. Whenever they look at them, all is well in the world.
We are glad you found us too, D. Zeke's experience and courage will live on here forever.

I have my Ruthie on my mouse pad also.
I had an incredible thing happen with her just 3 days before she passed, that made me actually think she was better...but like Zeke, I think she was telling me she was ready and saying goodbye in a special way.
These dogs will always live in our hearts, long after our mouse pads have fallen apart.
