Thanks everyone, and I will keep everyone posted.

Hi there and welcome,

I've only recently joined, as our 4 1/2 mth old GSD Serge, was born with no hock. The left rear was amputated, and he is now a 10 day tripawd. He is hopping around quite happily, and after a couple of initial tries, figured out how to make a tripod, when he has to go for pee or to squat...

Not to worry about your little guy adapting. It is amazing how resilient and resourceful, young dogs can be. Friends of mine had a pure white Great Pyrenees Mountain dog, and I can still see him plodding along, with the small grandson on his back, riding him like a pony..

Believe me when I say, this forum is the best place to be for support and advice and encouragement...

Best wishes to you and the little one,

Richard
