Well 9 days after surgery Holly has had another set back. The wound hasn't healed properly. She needs to go back in tomorrow to have it restitched and if there isn't enough skin they will need to remove the whole shoulder 😞

Geez! This just stinks!!! It's not unheard of as far as having to go back in for restitching to reclose the wound. And to jave to take the shoulder blade out on top of that, ugh!!

Qould it even be practical to get a second opinion at this point from another Surgeon or do you feel comfortable with this one?

I know it seems like this recovery process is like being stuck in a nightmare. Like all bad dreams though, you do wake up and all is well!

Hang in there, okay? You and Holly are a very strong team!

All.paws crossed for a speedy and full recovery. Update more when you can.

Love and hugs

Hopefully there is enough skin. I trust my vet completely. Fingers crossed its just a quick restitch job.

So sorry to hear this.  Glad you have confidence in your vet that helps a lot.  Fingers crossed this is just a minor setback and a quick re-stitch does the job!  Keep us posted.
