Queen is 2 and a half weeks post op--she had her front right leg removed due to soft tissue sarcoma.

She's had her stitches out and everything seemed fine, but then we noticed this big sore/scab on her nipple. Considering what we just went through, my anxiety is through the roof right now. More cancer? Flesh eating bacteria?? Some other Horrible Terrible Problem???

Of course this journey makes us panic over any little thing.  Usually those little things are no biggies at all.

Just send a picture to your Vet for their opinion.  Let us know.  It may indeed be just a scratch that has formed a scab.

Hmm. I'll be curious to see what Dr. Pam has to say. Yes definitely let your vet know.

I'm thinking it's a scratch that's scabbing over. Try not to panic. Usually things aren't as bad as we imagine.

That looks like an ingrown nipple with some debris in the "pocket". Can you remove that stuff to see what it looks like underneath?

Pam
