Pharmaceutically compounded transdermal gels make medication much easier on pet patients and their owners, and many of the most common feline medications, including methimazole, prednisolone, and amitriptyline, are available in the transdermal format.
There is another option too. Have it compounded. Might need to ask about more then one med going in the ear or if its doable. Just thought I'd give info. You do have options .
Let us know what works for Alfredo please. Look forward to hearing he is feeling better. I do think the steroid will help him in whatever form is used.
