Interesting, that just goes to show how varied treatments and protocols can be from vet to vet. Also, it's a good example of why a physical exam is so important. I'm glad that it all worked out though!

Attn: Beezus's Mom

Your post is several years old at this point, but I wanted to let you know that I found it helpful. My dog injured her nail yesterday and exposed the quick just as Beezus did. In fact your picture looks like my dog's foot, down to fur and nail color. It's the weekend and I can't afford the emergency vet, so I've got the foot cleaned and wrapped and I'm going to wait a few days and keep an eye on it and her. If things improve, then great, if not, to the vet we'll go. Thanks for your posts and I hope Beezus is well.
