Oh wow! That's terrific you are getting him out of Lebanon and to France! YAY! He'll have to learn a new language...but that's okay!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Yoga is so extremely adorable! Here's a question related to the topic-- why are male dogs castrated rather than simply undergoing vasectomies? Aren't vasectomies simpler-- outpatient procedures for humans-- and the dogs keep all those important hormones.
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
The reason that we remove the testicles is because testosterone is also the hormone that causes the prostate to enlarge which in older dogs can cause urinary issues. Testicles can also become cancerous so removing them prevents these tumors. Also testosterone can cause some males to become aggressive or can increase the urge to wander.
Pam
I am totally biased but yes he is gorgeous, the people who have him at the minute are great and keep sending us videos and pictures so we are really getting to know him even before he gets here. You can really tell he has hardly had life on 4 legs as it really does not phase him even on slippery wood floors.
OMD, he is so cute!! I bet you can't wait to get him!!
Looking forward to hearing of his adventures when he finally gets to you!
Jackie, Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
